Card for MFT stamps Guest designer contest

I threw my hat into the ring for a guest designer spot. There are lots of excellently executed cards on www.splitcoaststampers.com. MFT stamps (www.mftstamps.com) has become my go to site for purchases and ideas. The design team at MFT is awesome, they are some really talented ladies. Lots of instruction available of each team members site. So many good ideas. I love that many of the design team decorate the inside of their cards, I think this makes them even more special.

MFT supplied this sketch to use for the contest:

This is the card I made for the contest. It would be a great honor to be chosen. There are lots of great entries submitted to Splitcoast. I have enjoyed looking at all of them.
I used the Instaframe  frame Die-namic as well stamps sets from MFT.

My Favorite Things Blueprint Die

All of you avid stampers should check out the March release of dies from My Favorite Things
Stamps. They just introduced a new die called Blueprints 1, since it is numbered I am sure this means more are to come. Along with the die are 4 sketches showing you how to use the die so you can make different card layouts. I like the idea of the design work being already done.

Since I don't own the die yet,(on order) I fooled around with my Cricut machine and cut the scallop piece with my Elegant edges cartridge. It worked very nicely as you can see by the card below. I used Authentique Free Bird papers, ribbon is from Stampin Up, feel better stamp is from Papertrey, large verse is from MFT stamps. Corner punch by EK Success. Small tag is from MFT stamps.

Inspired by Keisha Campbell

As I stated earlier I love Keisha Campbell's designs. She totally inpsired this card so I will definitely call it a scraplift and give her all the credit. Papers are from Teresa Collins. Embossing folder is from Cuttlebug. Stamp is from Michael's dollar bin, purchased quite awhile ago.

Our Daily Bread Designs card

This is a simple card I made using Our daily Bread Stamps. I also used a Spellbinders cross die.

I really like the stamp designs and verses from ODBD, they always seem to have the right thing to say.

Not so much crafting going on....

I have not made many cards or any scrapbook pages in months. But hopefully that is changing. I have been looking at blogs trying to get the creativity flowing. As always I am inspired by Keisha Campbell at A Bit East. Her style is so simply elegant. My favorite things stamps has a wonderful blog and a great design team. Through them I finally learned how to use some of the dies I purchased more effectively. I hope to have a post later today.
